About last night......

The other night my friend and I went to a function...that was not quite what we thought it would be....*big glowing ? over my head***can you picture it?

I follow a blog by a young lady called, "I DONT DO CLUBS."  The blog site give an alternative to those that want to have a good time, but not with the youngans. Her said event was a "Spring Social Networking Mixer with a four man panel!! To be held at Negril-jamican restuarant in the village.
I met my homegirl-A,* we went got our self a table with seats and waited for the "what ever was/is suppose to happen at a networking function.
This was not a networking event, this here was party. Party through and through no if and' or but about it. I saw the the panelist. They were entertaining themselves and chit chatting away... nothing like a panel format.
Although, after it really sinking in that this was not what it was to be. I mean we brought business cards to distrubute. Yeaaaa, that didn't happen. So we said when in Rome, do as the Romans!
We ordered some drinks and a sampler appetizer and chilled. Met a few people, wondering if that was the "networking"or "mixer "  portion. It may have been the whole meaning of the whole thing to meet people with the ease or liqour and great music?
With that being said; I have gone to many of IDDC's events (and will continue to do so) and have enjoyed myself so maybe this can slide......
