After doing the fantastic list, I began to think about the stuff I am loving right now. Why not share with you all those things? It can be anything, *shrug*, I'm digging it so I'm going to tell you about it... & here we go.
Natural Hair--It's just so versatile. It is actually cost effective. I've haven't spent that much on it, but it does take longer to manage (detangle, comb, & style) but worth it at the end.
Creme of Nature--They have a new line with Argon oil. I have a few of their products but what I'm raving about it the conditioner. It has a great consistency-thick with all the essential oils and when combing through hair it detangles! What? Doesn't even claim itself as a detangler! It feels like an added bonus.
Purple Lips/Red Lips-- It's just soo fantastic, makes you look so regal. I just recently started using the red lip. It is such a bold statement. It screams, it gets in your face and then presents its self as art.
Music---Omg, Music is killing me right now. With such eclectic taste I may give you a headache with the different genres. First off please lets all say, "Amen" to Kaleidoscope Dream by Miguel. That album right there_is not meant to be played outdoors. Good lord...sweet baby Jessie. When that man says he wants to "Adorn" (me,) that (my) "Pu**y is Mine" is his and "Do You" (like love;) all I can do is slowly quiver and nod my head. *wiping brow* ok whooo! A new comer Elle Varner has lifted the clouds on my despair of R&B. It has become a bit stale. She came in with Perfectly Imperfect and had me jamming. I love the whole album. There aren't that many albums that can hold that truth. Something about her earthy voice that awakens something in me. Grabs an emotion and bitch slaps it...this reigns true on the "Not Tonight" track. Girl I get it, as outspoken I can be...I can't fully shake the shyness out of me; dammit! "Sound Proof Room" is simple spectacular.
The Weeknd is an awesome band? Not entirely sure if they are a band or solo singer. If so, I am only concerned with Abel's voice. He is the lead singer of the "band" from Montreal. They have The Trilogy album out right now. His voice is just hypnotizing. As he sings "Same Song" I want to chant, "not me, not me." "The Wicked Games" turns me into a sultry stripper with a wicked striptease. To mind fuck me even more on "Montreal" he sings in French. Are you kidding me? Look here you got this no need to break me...*shamefully looking down* here are my panties. Ughhhhhhhhh. My coworker today introduced me to an artist by the name of Lianne La Havas. This British delight had my arms covered in goosebumps. She gives of an old tone, kind of like Nina Simone-esque, type of singing. She does have an album out Is Your Love Big Enough? and I suspect she will become quite an sensation once the U.S. has fully grasped her. I have only heard one song "Lost & Found." I immediately fell in love. I have felt this exact way. I scrambled to find out more about her and even looked into tickets. She is coming to NY in April...I just might have to be there. Let me tell you about the Cali boy from Compton; Kendrick Lamar came on the scene and straight up knock us all on our ass. I was hearing all the hype. All over the morning talk shows, proclaiming it to be ingenious. Not even sure how I joined the bandwagon. But I have... This album is amazing. I haven't been this excited for a rap album since I believe, Slim Shady- Eminem. I am no critic therefore, I am so not comparing the two, simply stating that I have not been excited for an album since. The lyrical smoothness and descriptive metaphors. Gets me all tingly inside. The album Good Kid, M.A.A.D City is on point. Another album that I can listen to straight thru. My favorites are "Money Trees" if not for anything else I love when he says "Bisssh" lol; "Poetic Justice" with that Janet Jackson song in the background is amazeballs! "Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe." is great, how many times have you wanted to say that to someone. Loving it! Oh and dang it, then there is ASAP Rocky! I had no intention to know who nor any desire to listen to this fella. Now he pulled a number on me, caught me on a sneak. Running errands blasting the music cause sometimes I'm gangsta like that...Ugh* pelvic thrust with ugly face.* So anyhooo, in my car and here comes this impossible beat with crazy lyrics flowing through my speakers. What??? What is this? Who is this? His raw delivery even more raw verbiage got me hype. An hour or two later, it came on again...spellbound I reached for my cellphone and Shazam! (For those who don't know what I'm talking about Shazam is a application that you can have on your phone or tablet- used to identify songs by holding up your device to the sound of the music and it will then tell you the artist, album, discography, and you can purchase the song or album too.) Purchased it right there then realized that he was also the artist of another song I was digging "Goldie." I felt like Sanford (Sanford and Son)as he clutched his chest screaming, "Elizabeth - & I"ll add- they got me!" He got me. I've heard great things of this fella. He is from Harlem, NY. and his album Long. Live. A$AP is #1 on the billboard charts. Rocky is now one out of only four rappers to achieve such success. Yes I called him Rocky, I decided that after reading that he got the moniker ASAP Rocky because his clique is called ASAP Mob. I am actually thinking of purchasing the album.*Gasp!
Nail Polish-- I have somehow acquired a nasty little habit, Essie nail polish. I have about a million of these suckers. Also enjoying those Sally Hansen Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips. These things are great. They are easy, fast, no drying involved, and stylish. They have so many designs, but are kinda pricey $9.99.
IheartRadio-- I love that I can listen to 105.1FM in the morning and get my early dose music, comedy, news and entertainment from The Breakfast Club (w/ hosts Charlamagne, DJ Envy & Angela Yee) from my phone. In addition to live radio, you can create a station by giving them a base like a song or an artist. They will then play similar music. Loving it!
Moscato-- I'm loving that they are coming with all kinds of flavors. {Pineapple, Passion Fruit and Coconut-not for me but*shrug*}
Hair Color-- This isn't actually a new thing. I have always love to experiment with different styles/color. Recently I saw a pic of a woman with green hair. Yes, I said green and she was my complexion and it looked great. I started really thinking of doing this, then I saw purple. Yess, now I said purple; I am not losing it. Just want to shake things up. Stay tuned might just put a pic up...hmmm.
