Wonderful it is, friendship bliss...well umm isn't it?

Hmmm, fascinating...really...are those the components one should base friendship on?? If so then I probably have more friends then I care to admit to.. definition would make me friends with all the nutso's on the train with me every morning and evening. Even making me friends with the whole breast cancer society for which I support and sympathize greatly with. No. There must be a better, distinct and clear definition.
Alas, there isn't because friendship is the relation between two or more; for every and other reason one can think of, severly mind boggling. You and I both know someone who you consider your friend and you have no real concept or clue as to how are why you are friends. Go ahead tell me no...smh, Okay. SO, I'm the only one....anyhoo.
Interestingly enough my coworkers & I recently discussed this exact subject. FRIENDSHIP. Unsure of how we ended up on this
subject but it was very eye-opening. Everyone has a way of obtaining or
forging friendships and maintaining them as such. We as human beings
with our diverse intellect, have various complex ways of attracting one
to another. One of most basic instincts is to be connected with others.
As we tried to explain to one of my coworkers sometimes the ancient
rituals aren't always the 1st route of action. Some are drawn by similar
situations, ie: upbringing, cultures, poverty/opulence, even physical
attributes. During a slow moment at work, my coworker expressed her
requirements needed in order to be her friend. Now, now we all really
have them we just don't speak about it out loud. She stated that her
friends have to or are usually attractive. I don't feel offended, two
reasons- first I'm her friend...lol, second, I get it. Ever seen a
teen angst movie...this is the very theory they're all based on. I know
what your thinking, "but what about personality, morals, and loyalty."
They come to play later, after you've been already attracted or should I
say "clicked." This does make sense...rough to swallow but it does.
When meeting someone for the 1st time the physical is the 1st thing the
brain computes. Now I am no scientist/analyst, I haven't taken any
survey's. But really can you refute that statement? Hmmm, fascinating...really...are those the components one should base friendship on?? If so then I probably have more friends then I care to admit to.. definition would make me friends with all the nutso's on the train with me every morning and evening. Even making me friends with the whole breast cancer society for which I support and sympathize greatly with. No. There must be a better, distinct and clear definition.

Some friendships are immediate, you click from the start and it's all she wrote. Then there are others which build as time goes by and then bam you realize this is your friend -a good one at that....lol, never would of thunk it. That is just how the dice is rolled.
I've been thinking of the dynamics/dimensions and roles within friendships. Here's my question, when the environment in which it inhabits changes...does the relationship then change also. Changes to the environment can be many things such as: distance, roles, careers, marriage, childbirth, even death. Any milestone can be a barrier or boulder that separates or blocks the unity of a duo.
In all relationships- platonic & romantic, there are always hot/cold moments. When you're all over each other, you make time, you have stolen timestamps; & your always there for each other. In ying yang fashion there are the long distances, absences, un-involvements & plain just too busy for it.
I have never thought myself as being a person who would give up, but I'm at an impasse. Here is my story. Met on a warm winter night celebrating another common folk's birthday...immediately clicked and we were strong from then on. Held me down through tough times and I through traumatic times. Same ideals, same morals, same stubbornness, & same hotheadedness-it's probably not a word, but it fits--in any arena this would be a stage for fights and cattiness--breakups. In our case made us closer. Throughout the years others have joined but still our closeness remained. Further down the line- years later, marries best friend and I am booted out. "You get out_ta here!"
Now, don't get me wrong. I do not believe this was done maliciously. It just happened but it was done. I thought maybe it's cause her status had changed and mine hasn't even shifted. Could it really be because I am not in the wives club? Shrug...I was just going to let it go. Then I realized, (not by my own I was nudged), I really should do something. I called several times, again don't get me wrong-- I am no way a needy person. I can be well by my onesome (I made that up and I like it.) I was in fact born alone, never having an issue with dismissing someone from my life that was not good for me or my lifestyle. We were partners in crime, and therefore I should fight for that.........right? The calls become sporadic and the nights out scarce. She began to hang out with others... not all couples or from the wives club. I've been with them and damn I can't- not like some of them. In the end it feels as if I have been replaced???? <---that indeed sounded needy; hey it is what it is. It sucks!
